I’ve been there.

I started writing 20 years ago. I was the editor of my high school newspaper. I wanted to be a journalist, so I interned at MTV, wrote articles for Vervegirl Magazine, studied journalism in Paris, and started my own travel blog called Under the Yew Tree. But I ended up pivoting into marketing. I worked with names like Nespresso, Jameson Whiskey, The Hotel Brussels, and the European Commission.

I worked as a content creator, videomaker, podcast host, and copywriter, but I really wanted to start working for myself. And then, in 2022, something amazing happened. I started to work with Shelley Marmour, a travel blogger who also runs Travel Blogging 101. In 2022, she made $272,569 from her travel blogging business.

Working alongside Shelley, I was able to supplement what I already knew about content writing and SEO with affiliate marketing. I learned all of her secrets and started to apply them to my own blogs. And it paid off.

As the founder of Now in Rio and Now in Portugal, I’ve tackled the challenge of growing a successful travel website and learned the secrets of search engine optimization, audience engagement, and conversion.
